Construction with Merritt just completed a master shower renovation for us. We transitioned from a standard insert to a full tile shower with glass sliding door. Shannon was very easy to work with. Shannon with Merritt Construction is absolutely amazing! First of all, he was very patient with me because it took me a couple of years to actually pull the trigger on this project. I was nervous being an absentee owner and having someone I didn’t know do a complete renovation and partial remodel of my house. Little did I know that I had nothing to fear! In fact, I wish he lived in Baton Rouge so that he could help me with my home projects because he is just absolutely amazing. Did I say that already?! Shannon is a very thorough person who pays attention to every detail. I think he might actually have OCD because honest to goodness, he doesn’t miss a thing! He took care of my landscaping - added pine straw and trimmed my palm trees, even though this had absolutely nothing to do with my renovation. He even repaired my fence that was rotting in the backyard and reworked my outdoor rusty water meter box because it didn’t look good. He does not miss a thing! Oh, I think I said that already too – lol! Shannon is a fabulous communicator. He sent pictures and worked with my decorator. He involved me when I needed to be involved and left me alone when I didn’t, and that worked out great for me! Anytime I reached out, he was eager to chat and not at all put out or bothered to have to go over questions or details. The final outcome of the project is beyond my wildest imagination! Every surface of my house has been refreshed, including the scraping of ceilings, which I know is a very messy job. He converted a garage into a bedroom. He converted a laundry room into a bathroom. He really conceptualized our project so well and even came up with some super ideas that enhanced the project beyond what we had originally thought of. So thankful for Shannon and his crew. I’d received a handful of quotes much higher than I expected to pay and someone suggested I check out Merritt. They responded very quickly, they had a very fair price, they scheduled me quickly. We needed a full bathtub surround removed and replaced in a tight window between guests and they did exactly what they said they’d do, on time, clean, professional, etc… I’m very pleased and would highly recommend.Read More
